The Candy Shop War by Brandon Mull

“Welcome to the club.”

Candy is capable of bribing my kids to do almost anything. Add some tween drama, a heartless villain, superpowers, and breaking rules to the candy of imagination, and all four of my children were riveted. Well done, Mull.

Mull’s novels are extremely entertaining and adventurous. I personally enjoyed Arcade Catastrophe, the second book, best, with its Native American subtleties, friendship development, and additional characters. And, if I was the party planner type, a Candy Shop War party would be SWEET.
